Located conveniently near the beach, the property provides stunning pool, rooftop spa, and attentive staff offering exceptional service. However, some guests found the 2-story suite to be too spacious.

Let me start by saying — this place looks like a five-star resort, and honestly, it’s almost pulling it off. From the front desk to the landscaping, the vibes are immaculate. Reception staff? Absolute pros. Warm, efficient, and welcoming. The hotel itself? Gorgeous. The grounds? Pristine. It cannot go unsaid that the place is surely lovely! But then… housekeeping entered the chat. I don’t know if they were short-staffed or just spiritually opposed to consistency, but cleaning was less “meticulous upkeep” and more “vague suggestion.” Every day was a fresh new episode of What Will They Forget This Time? Towels? Maybe. Trash bins? Who knows. Soap? That’s a Tuesday-only luxury, apparently. One day the bed was made, but the sinks and mirrors clearly hadn’t been touched. Another day, they left their cleaning supplies in the bathroom—so at least some effort was made, I guess? The shower floor remained perpetually sandy, a charming little ecosystem of ants set up camp in our kitchenette, and the grand finale: we returned from a day exploring the stunning Daintree to find our room door left wide open. Thanks, housekeeping. Truly unforgettable. By day five I wasn’t even mad, I was invested. Was this performance art? Were we part of a social experiment? Is this how minimalism starts? So yeah, stunning hotel, flawless front desk, but housekeeping? Shithouse! Blinds are filthy in the rooms and no sheer curtains for day time privacy. Would I return? Maybe. But I’m bringing my own towels. And a mop.

Had a great stay at the sea temple. Enjoyed the penthouse apartment. Enjoyed the rooftop spa and bbq area. The apartment was spacious and clean. We dined at the restaurant for dinner was lovely food. Enjoyed breakfast and nice coffees at the restaurant. The pool and gardens are great. Great location we were out most days doing tours, a unique place to visit. Great Barrier Reef cruise, Mosman gorge, sky rail and hartleys crocodile farm were all very memorable.

Loved my 5 nights at Pulman Sea Temple Port Douglas. It had been 19 years since I was there last and it was just as nice.Beautifully maintained.Beautiful sitting areas everywhere. It helps if you have a car as it is a bit out of town but there is a shuttle bus that comes regularly. The rooms are lovely, clean, bathroom beautiful.Would recommend

The resort is very nice with beautiful landscaping and the apartments are spacious and comfortable. A big plus is having a kitchen with washer and dryer. The exterior and interior walls could definitely use a coat of paint though.

Had family staying at sea temple port Douglas over the weekend. Great resort but the absolute stand out was this morning's breakfast. Chef Johnathan went above and beyond , from checking in with us and ensuring the family and I had an amazing culinary experience all while he had an overseas conference going on at the same time! I have recommended a few of the more bespoke resorts in Port Douglas over the years to my family but I can honestly say that we won't be looking any further in future annual trips. Thanks again Johnathan and staff for making this family catch up one to remember.

Stayed here a few days. Usually stay in 5 star hotels and this is definitely *not* 5 star. Positives: Clean Comfortable bed Great pool area Port Douglas weather in the dry season is great Staff is good, and friendly Poolside bar meals are expensive but very tasty. Negatives: Expensive for what is on offer. REALLY poor sound proofing in rooms. This is my major for never wanting to return here. We heard every little noise of the kids in the neighbouring rooms, all the time. This was the same when other guests moved in over the course of our stay. No minibar or even water in the room. On arrival were given either champagne or a mocktail. I asked for sparkling water instead, but was told no (btw I'm diabetic so this was a necessary choice) Lack of attention to details: we only had one saucer for two cups in the room. Half used tissue box in bathroom (three tissues left). Very far from town or restaurants, especially as two nights of our stay the restaurant was unavailable/ booked for what seemed like a function. Not a beach front hotel. Alcoholic beverages are very expensive (expected); AU$14 for one cider
